Flight Commander Thomas J York-Moore

An airship commander in World War One, he commanded Coastal class airship C-9 after it had been so devastatingly commanded by his predecessor, James G Struthers who sank seven U-boats. Employed in the role of anti-submarine patrols, these airships significantly reduced the threat from the German U-boats. We know from our sources that he lived until at least 1978, but have no further information.
