Jaguar by David Shepherd Perhaps one of the shyest, most elusive of the wild cats, the Jaguar is infrequently seen, preferring to retreat into the deep glades of the South American Rain Forests. As with other big cats, it has paid the penalty for being the owner of a particularly beautiful coat, the demand for which has reduced its numbers in the wild to the point of extinction. |
